On 19.11.2020, Mr. Christian Schumacher completed his dissertation with distinction on the topic "Development of a methodical procedure for the feature-specific characterisation of the processing suitability of unreinforced and fibre-reinforced plastics in fused deposition modelling using the example of polyamide 6" to obtain his doctorate.
M. Sc. Lena Risse successfully passed her doctoral examination with her dissertation on “Preoperative studies for the design of patient-specific medical aids” on October 19, 2020.
The project aims for the implementation of a prototypical, hybrid additive series production for automotive industry. Therefore, the entire process chain from part design, powder production and the LPBF process to post-processing has to be integrated, analyzed and optimized on the hardware and software side to enable a continuous and robust process chain.
Mr. M. Sc. Benjamin Bauer successfully passed his doctoral examination on May 29, 2020 with his dissertation on the topic "Lifetime forecast for additively manufactured plastic components using fracture mechanical concepts".
